Job Title: Climate Corps Coordinator
Compensated Rate: $20/hr, estimated up to 60 hrs/month
Supervisor: Climate Corps Manager and SEE Project Director

Description:
The Climate Corps Coordinator administers, coordinates and implements the Climate Corps program, providing logistical support for the program as well as organizing engagement events and other corps activities. He or she works together with the Climate Corps Manager and helps lead Corps members.

Key areas of responsibility:
• Submit recruitment materials and applications to SEE.
• Contact recruiting partners and provide them recruitment materials.
• Collect and track applications for review with the Climate Corps Manager and respond to interest.
• Support implementation of training events through scheduling, coordinating speakers, and supporting attendees. Provide follow up as needed.
• Maintain communication with Corps participants to support their participation and compliance with program requirements.
• Register and prepare for events, such as 4th of July “Celebrate America,” COAST and other events as needed.
• Track the participation of Climate Corps participants using post-shift logs. Track and compile program data such as number of participants, contacts with the public, hours worked, and other results.
• Send follow-up emails prepared by Climate Corps Manager and Steering Committee to survey respondents and event participants.
• Provide self-assessments materials to Corps members and collect for review with Climate Corps Manager.
• Schedule exit interviews/surveys at the completion of the program.
• Implement Corps graduation event by scheduling the event, tracking attendance, helping to create and providing certificates or other materials.
• Submit receipts for expenses monthly and complete other required paperwork on a timely basis.
• Input work hours weekly using SEE Paychex system.
• Collect and submit for SEE volunteer waivers on a timely basis.Skills and qualifications (Please include certificates, education, licenses, etc.):
• Interest or passion for learning about sustainability and climate issues.
• Computer skills including some digital media, presentations, basic support for applications like ZOOM, spreadsheets and use of tablets.
• Ability to organize group activities; Motivate, support and educate youth.
• Attention to administrative detail.
• Multi-lingual skills a plus.

Previous experience related to this position:
• HS Diploma and one or two years of college experience.
• Experience organizing or leading in a club or group setting.
• Familiarity with the Santa Monica community and sustainability or climate issues.
