Green Jobs Boards & Information Resources
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education is a membership group of colleges & universities, businesses, and nonprofits.
The Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO) Career Website provides jobs and resources as part of a community of individuals addressing climate change in their organizations.
Green Jobs Board. Source for environmental jobs with companies that prioritize sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The site allows you to search by job title, region and more. It includes career pathways, position types, experience on onsite/remote positions. Founded by Brown Girl Green.
Climatebase features a job board focused on climate tech companies and nonprofits around the world. They also offer a fellowship program. You are able to search by title, skill or company and note your location. They also have a newsletter with climate news.
Ed’s Clean Energy and Sustainability Jobs List is a weekly newsletter of job listings. Jobs requiring less than five years are included for free; other jobs require a paid subscription.
The Environmental Defense Fund features a “green jobs hub” that provides links to a variety of green job boards.
Good Food Jobs (GFJ) posts the intention of “satisfying the hunger for meaningful work” The job board has some jobs related to agriculture, farmers’ markets and foodbanks The search engine allows you to search by location, job type and compensation. It also lists educational opportunities in food.
GreenBiz Sustainability Jobs lists careers in sustainability, climate tech, renewable energy, net zero, the circular economy, ESG and more.
The Green Jobs Network is a job board and global network is dedicated to environmental and social impact. It features internships & fellowship opportunities. You may sign up for a newsletter and join a Green Jobs Network on Linked-In.
Green Veterans. The USGBC Green Veterans Group regenerates men and women who have served in the military for green jobs and green living.
Idealist helps people find social impact jobs at companies and non-profits.
An Imperfect Guide to Career and Climate is a website designed by career counselor Trevor Lehmann to walk you step by step through the process of assessing your own interests, researching occupations, and finding a job in climate.
The International Society of Sustainability Professionals is a jobs hub with membership options.
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) works with states across the country to make renewable energy systems more affordable. They feature clean energy career maps in the green buildings sector, a solar career map and careers in climate control technology (HVAC/R).
Inventure is a recruiting company in the renewable energy sector. Their website lists current openings.
The LA Clean Tech Incubator (LACI) helps startups develop technologies, secure funding and financing and supports access to new customers and markets. They offer an innovators incubation program. They also offer Green Jobs Training and Fellowship programs.
The LA Community College District Sustainable Environment Institute is a group of educators deeply concerned about the state of the environment and passionate about the need to raise the level of environmental awareness among students. They have an extensive list of links on a variety of topics as well as job resources.
My Climate Journey Podcast, is a podcast for those seeking to better understand climate change and how to help.
The National Wildlife Federation EcoLeaders Career Center has the mission of helping high school juniors, seniors, college students and young professionals explore and map out their own career paths. It has a career planning tool and career sector outlooks in a variety of environmental sectors.
Net Impact – Job profiles and Listings. Net Impact mobilizes next-generation leaders to use their skills and careers to make a positive impact on the world.
NRG Consulting Group helps climate and social non-profits find candidates. They have job openings on their website and a “Get Hired” newsletter.
Project Drawdown labs features Job Function Action Guides as a resource for employees of a broad range of companies to understand how their roles are critical in addressing the climate crisis.
Recyclesaurus provides a job board for “the Coolest Jobs in the Waste and Recycling Industry”.
The Santa Monica College sustainability center features environmental certificate and degree programs. The non-credit certificate programs are free.
So You Want to Work in Climate is a crowdsourced Google Sheet organized by Nicole Kelner.
Sustainable Career Pathways provides resources for the next step in your sustainability career.
Sustainable Development Goal Careers provides a resource on social impact jobs supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Trevor Lehmann has developed an “Imperfect Guide to Career and Climate” as a tool to explore yourself and climate careers.
The US Green Buildings Council California Career Center provides information about workshops, certifications, training and career opportunities. They also offer job fairs throughout the year.
UCLA Sustainability provides a newsletter, a sustainability certificate program and a variety of resources, including “Careers in Sustainability” featuring active jobs and internship opportunities.
West LA College hosts the California Center for Climate Change Education. They have educational and career events and feature a summer paid internship program for LACCD students.
Women in Cleantech & Sustainability help women who work in sustainability (or want to) network. They host events and have a job board.

Internship, Fellowship & Mentorship Opportunities
The California Conservation Corps is a program provides young adults 18 – 25 years old a year of paid service to the State of California. During their year of service, Corps members work on environmental projects and respond to natural and man-made disasters. Through this work, they gain skills and experience that lead to meaningful careers.
The California Climate Action Corps leverages AmeriCorps to advance climate actions. They feature an 11 month program from September through August. Participants must be 18 years of age and have an Associates degree or equivalent.
The California Youth Climate Policy Program empowers ninth- to twelfth-grade students to take climate action into their own hands. During the program, students participate in a summer retreat (August).
The Carbonauts organizes networking events for people working (or aspiring to work) in climate.
Climate People are recruiters who help people land jobs in climate tech. They offer trainings for job seekers, a focused job board, and a newsletter. Their four-part Climate Transitions Workshop recordings are available on YouTube: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4.
Climate Reality has a Campaign Leadership Academy for trained Climate Reality Leaders and chapter members between the ages of 13 and 30 interested in strengthening their campaign skills to create change towards climate justice in their communities. Sign up to be informed of future openings.

Eugenie Lewis
Eugenie Lewis makes it her mission to support youth and people of all ages to have a good life – filled with hope and optimism through cross-generational work around climate change.
Eugenie’s professional work has focused on integrative physical and mental health services, school social work and positive youth development. In 2019, she started a company called Creative Life Mapping with the goal of providing career, education, self-discovery, growth and wellness services. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, career and college counselor, and serves as a youth mental health advocate with the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health.
