Ellie Cohen, the CEO of The Climate Center, will give a Zoom presentation at 2 p.m. on Feb. 13, talking about how California, the world’s 5th largest economy, can expand its leadership role in taking bold action for a climate-safe future.
Her talk will highlight recent climate science findings, the state’s recent successes and its priority climate policy challenges ahead. “What we do in California to address the climate crisis has a ripple effect across the world,” Cohen has said. “With a climate-denying, pro-oil administration soon to take control of the White House, California’s climate leadership is more important than ever.”
This event is being sponsored by Elders Climate Action’s Northern California chapter, but it’s open to all who are interested in helping, and all who register will be sent a recording of the event.
