Our next meeting, on Saturday January 11 at 10 am will focus on the many groups carrying out work on greening campuses, because this is a focus of the District this year.

On January 14, the Board will vote on Dr. Rivas and Mr. Schmerelson's resolution Community-Centered Greening Initiatives: Strengthening Equity Through Parent Engagement and External Partnerships (2024) (Res-038-24/25) Put this number in the short bar. Let's discuss how to support that work, as well as how climate champions and citizen groups are teaching in green spaces. 

Shade and especially student accessible greenspace improves physical and mental health, social relations (fewer behavior issues), attentiveness when back in the classroom, and even academic testing scores.
