URGENT ACTION REQUEST: Please support these bills
Sept. 8 Update: If you haven’t taken action yet, please do so. There is one more week for the legislature to consider these bills. We removed SB-233 from the list, because it has been pulled by its author.
We are approaching a floor vote for our Climate Reality endorsed bills and we need your help to get them passed. It will only take a few minutes of your time, but your calls and emails to legislators are critically important. You can choose to call or email your legislators. There is no need to do both, however calls are generally faster and more impactful. If you call and no one answers, leave a message. Please complete this action ASAP because bills are being scheduled very quickly for floor votes. Here's what to do:
1. Go to https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/ and type in your address.
2. Click on your Assemblymember and Senator names- this will take you to their websites.
3. If you are emailing, click on "contact" to get a fillable form.
4. If you are calling, be sure to call the Sacramento office- it's usually at the bottom of the webpage and has a 916 area code.
