Our April chapter meeting featured a Climate Movers & Shakers interview with Bill McKibben. McKibben is equally well known for his writing on environmental subjects and his climate activism.
Bill McKibben is a founder of international climate organization 350.org. After leaving 350.org, McKibben founded Third Act, an organization for Americans over 60 fighting to safeguard the climate and democracy. McKibben is the author of more than a dozen books, a staff writer at the New Yorker. He now also writes on his own substack, The Crucial Years.
During the interview, McKibben spoke about his connection to California, what inspired him to found 350.org, what’s next for the climate movement, and much more.
