Lisa Hart, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Sustainability Alliance (LANCSA), was our guest for our first meeting of 2024.
The LANCSA, which Lisa also co-founded, is composed of 74 neighborhood and community councils working to advance sustainability and resilience across the city through advocacy, sharing of best practices, and community action.
Lisa represents the LANCSA on the LA28 Olympics sustainability working group, the South Coast Air Quality Management District Environmental Justice Advisory Group, and the LA County-City Just Transition Task Force.
Lisa has focused on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for most of her career, with roles at the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission and City of Hope.
The LANCSA was recently awarded a grant from LADWP to use Lisa’s background in environmental psychology to help people transition off gas and electrify their homes.
