Chapter Call w/ Heather Repenning of LA Metro

Our September chapter call will feature a Climate Movers and Shakers interview with Heather Repenning. Heather is the Executive Officer for Sustainability Policy at LA Metro, the public transportation authority that provides bus and rail service in Los Angeles County. At Metro, Heather oversees policies and programs that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve air quality, and increase climate resilience.

Previously, Heather has served as Vice Chair for Climate Action of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, helping set policy for water supply to SoCal, and as Vice President of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, where she oversaw LA Sanitation, Engineering, Street Lighting, Street Services and Contract Administration for the City of Los Angeles.

Heather also works as Adjunct Professor in the University of Southern California’s Sol Price School of Public Policy where she teaches a course in Sustainable Communities.
