Join Los Angeles Climate Reality Project for our monthly chapter meeting to hear about what we can do after the November elections to keep climate action moving forward.

We will be joined by Climate Mover & Shaker David Girón. David is the Environment, Climate, and Energy policy advisor for Los Angeles City Councilmember Bob Blumenfield. David has more than a decade of experience in Los Angeles public policy, having previously worked for Councilmembers Paul Koretz and Mitch O’Farrell. David played a part in the “LA100” study of pathways that Los Angeles can reach 100% carbon-free energy done, which underpinned the city’s commitment to achieve 100% carbon free energy by 2035.

In 2024, David Girón ran for State Assembly, but did not place in the top two in the crowded March primary field. As we come to terms with the November election results, David can share how he responded to his electoral defeat.
