Assembly Constitutional Amendment (ACA) 16, authored and introduced by Assemblymember Isaac Bryan, seeks to ensure that “The people shall have a right to clean air and water, and a healthy environment.” Passing this language in the Constitution will strengthen existing laws, provide equal protection and secure rights for our most vulnerable communities and ensure environmental rights are not infringed upon by future legislation.
Asm. Bryan has championed efforts to phase out oil drilling in neighborhoods. He also Chairs the Assembly Natural Resources committee.
Sen. Stern, a coauthor of ACA-16, has authored and coauthored many bills supporting California’s transition to clean energy.
